Media Dept Production Assistant 


Primary Job Duties 

  • Maintain and Track media dept equipment and supplies 
  • Assisting video editors with content and media gathering, storage, editing and graphics production 
  • Serving as a liaison to our social media team to deliver assets necessary for promotion of content across our various channels 
  • Assist Virtual Event Stage Manager with keeping Virtual Event Tracking spreadsheet updated 
  • Helping with media dept logistics as needed 
  • Maintaining Virtual Event calendars and helping the media producer with projects and research 
  • Assist in the Transport, sets up, and operation of various production equipment including cameras, audio and video recorders, lighting equipment, props, and microphones for location and studio production as well as livestream broadcasts 


Necessary skills include: 

  • Incredible attention to detail 
  • Strong aptitude to pick up new software and technology 
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Pro a plus  
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines  
  • Highly organized, efficient, and effective communicator 


Software Proficiency 

(Training will be provided on Festival standard settings and operations for each platform) 

  • Final Cut Pro X, Zoom, Streamyard, YouTube, Facebook Live, One Drive, Google Drive, Photoshop 



  • Reports to the Media Producer 
  • Key Communication with the Producer, Production Manager, Festival Designer, Director of Programming & Community Engagement, Marketing Coordinator & Virtual Event Programming staff 


Classification: Part-Time Temporary 

Compensation: $17 per hour

Engagement Period: Mid-May – June 27
